At Tapestry, in-person and virtual therapy is available for school-aged children, adolescents, and adults. First, we aim to understand your lived experience and clarify your treatment goals. We then offer an evidence-based and individualized approach to treatment that is tailored to your strengths and needs. Your therapy-related progress and outcomes will be regularly monitored and discussed. This approach supports therapeutic engagement and identifies and addresses any challenges or barriers to progress in a timely fashion. We draw from different modalities including cognitive-behavioural (CBT), dialectical-behavioural (DBT), and emotion focused family therapy (EFFT) approaches. We view caregivers as an integral component of the therapy process, especially for children and adolescents, and seek their involvement when indicated. At Tapestry, we strive to ensure that therapy is client-centred, trauma-informed, and neuroaffirming.
We address a range of clinical concerns including:
• Anxiety and low mood
• Behavioural and emotional dysregulation (including suicidality and self-harm)
• Obsessive and compulsive behaviours
• Trauma, loss, and grief
• Interpersonal conflict (i.e., with family, peers) and social challenges
• Life transitions
• Questioning/exploring gender, sexuality, and other marginalized identitiesEach therapy session is 50 minutes in length. Therapy sessions with a psychologist are each billed at $250.00. Therapy sessions with a registered social worker are each billed at $180.00.

Tapestry provides comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. These can include testing for giftedness, learning and intellectual disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and mental health disorders.
Each assessment begins with a brief, no-cost intake, during which the reasons for referral are discussed and a plan for the assessment is developed and scheduled. The assessment typically includes: clinical interviewing and questionnaires (with the client, parents/caregivers, partners, etc. as needed); one-on-one testing using standardized assessment tools; feedback after the assessment; and a written report with individualized recommendations.
The information gathered through assessments can be used to support informed decision-making about health care and educational/employment needs, to access community resources, and to better understand yourself and/or your loved one.
Testing fees range depending on the referral question, the client’s age, and the amount of testing required. The following are general ranges for assessments but specific individualized quotes will be provided during your brief, no-cost intake call.
• Stand-alone psychodiagnostic assessment (e.g., mental health, ADHD) assessment = $2250-2750
• Psychoeducational assessment = $3500-$3800
• Comprehensive psychoeducational assessment including autism = $4250-4750

At Tapestry, we believe that parents and caregivers play a pivotal role in supporting their loved one’s mental health journey. Especially with children and youth, we encourage parents to be actively involved in treatment and to seek support for themselves.
We provide evidence-based parenting consultation, coaching, and support to help caregivers: (1) better understand their child’s diagnosis and needs; (2) learn skills to be able to behaviourally and emotionally support their child’s development; and (3) strengthen the parent-child relationship. We understand that supporting your child with high needs (i.e., due to neurodevelopment differences, mental illness, trauma, etc.) can leave parents feeling alone, ineffective, and overwhelmed. We also recognize that sometimes your own challenges with emotional regulation, life stressors, or childhood experiences can impact how you show up for your child. At Tapestry, we will explore your parenting goals and values and help you increase your knowledge, skills, and confidence.

At Tapestry, we are deeply committed to enhancing clinical knowledge, expanding competency and capacity in the mental health sector, and lifelong professional development. We support this endeavor through:
Supervising individual psychologists at various points in their training and careers
Creating and delivering training and workshops for mental health providers and organizations looking to learn how to adapt their practice for neurodivergent clients (e.g., risk assessment; cognitive behavioural, dialectical behavioural, and trauma treatment adaptations; caregiver mediated intervention) as well as other clinical principles and practices
Providing ongoing consultation to teams that have received training or who are in the process of designing or changing their clinical programming
We strive to provide an enriching, experiential, and empathetic professional consultation, training, and supervision.
